Our story

Hi I am Stefanos, The founder of rec and beyond. I grew up in a seaside town in northern Greece, where the sea is a crucial part of our life. Unfortunately, scuba diving remained a hidden world for me for years.

That changed unexpectedly on a vacation at the island of Paxos. A quiet beach, a small dive shop, and a spontaneous Discover Scuba Diving experience, changed the course of my life. One descent was enough. Curiosity turned into training, certifications, and ultimately life as a dive instructor and a technical diver.

I started this diving company to share my passion for the underwater world and also share that sense of wonder. 70% of our planet is covered with water, and most of it remains unexplored. That creates unlimited opportunities for exploration. Scuba diving is more than an activity — it is an invitation into a world few ever experience.
